Fuel
The British farming industry has traditionally relied on Red Diesel for fuelling UK farms. However, the UK Government has announced that it will remove the entitlement to use red diesel for many sectors from the 1st of April 2022.
The red diesel regulation changes will not impact the agriculture industry (plants & livestock). Yet, the use of red diesel concerning tractors has been restricted with some exceptions. Farmers should consider alternatives for unregulated activities, like DERV.
We also offer HVO, the lowest emissions fuel available. The perfect renewable diesel alternative to help reach the UK’s goal of Net Zero by 2050.
Renewable diesel Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO)
HVO (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil) from Oilfast can guarantee good air quality and slash emissions. HVO is a renewable diesel replacement made to EN15940 standard. It is the lowest emission diesel replacement fuel available. HVO is made entirely from waste and is defined as renewable and sustainable (RED11) whilst being highly refined. You can use HVO in any diesel engine without requiring any changes to the engine. Manufacturers have approved HVO and identified there is no degradation in performance.
AdBlue®
Oilfast produce and sell our own licensed AdBlue®, that we call FleetBlue, straight from our manufacturing plant in Motherwell. By manufacturing FleetBlue in-house, we can offer the best possible service at the lowest possible price.
We supply our FleetBlue, AdBlue® in various sizes, including 10L, 20L, 205L barrels, 1,000L IBCs and bulk deliveries. We can deliver containers and barrels by the pallet or on request ensuring we can support your requirements this Spring no matter how large or small your operation is.

Fuel Additives

Tanks
Safe storage of fuel oil is essential for farmers, as failure to adhere to DEFRA guidance could lead to prosecution or hefty fines. As we transition out of winter, we recommend that you examine your tank for cracks and potential leak points. Farmers have been advised against fuelling unsafe storage tanks, which could lead to further downtime in productivity.
Additionally, with new government regulations towards red diesel, you may need additional tanks for rebated and non-rebated fuel storage.
