Oilfast’s achievement confirms its claims of greenhouse gas (GHG) emission savings and the reliability of raw material feedstocks for its Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO) renewable diesel within the RFAS scheme. HVO fuel can reduce a business’s GHG emissions by up to 90% without needing engine modifications, providing a cleaner solution for commercial fleets. This approval allows Oilfast to issue Renewable Fuel Declarations for HVO fuel, endorsed by the Zemo Partnership, ensuring fleet operators access to sustainable, low-carbon fuels.
Who Is RFAS and Zemo?
The Zemo Partnership is an independent non-profit organisation collaborating with the government and members to expedite transport towards zero emissions. Notably, the partnership is responsible for overseeing the RFAS scheme, meticulously analysing the entire renewable fuel supply chain. From the cultivation of feedstock or collection of waste raw materials to the production and distribution of the final product to the customer.
